In order to truly trust God, you must surrender what you’ve been trusting instead of Him. One of the great through-lines of Scripture is this: God’s calling always involves leaving something significant behind. Not after clarity. Not after certainty. But before. Leaving is not loss. Leaving is trust in motion. Some people don’t struggle to believe in God. They struggle to stop believing in the things that feel safer than God.
